OktoPAWfest 2017 at IndieFern Brewing in Plymouth MA

The   2nd Annual OktoPAWfest at Independent Fermentations Brewing (aka: Indie Ferm)! will be held on Sunday October 7th  1-5pm. OktoPAWfest 2017 at IndieFern Brewing in Plymouth MA

Quincy Animal Shelter Cause for Paws 2017

Quincy Animal Shelter’s 9th Annual 5K Run & 1-Mile Walk will be held on Sunday October 15th 9am to 1pm at Squantum Point Park.

There will be a costume contest for both our four- and two-legged participants; a vendor fair with over 15 booths; an exciting performance by Flying High Frisbee Dogs; a demonstration by Quincy Police Department’s K-9 unit; and a dog agility course for your four-legged friend(s) to complete.

In addition, there will be more than 30 raffle prizes, a photo booth for taking fun pictures, food , and a DJ pumping out energetic tunes!

APCSM Paws in the Park 2017 in Easton MA

The Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) ,will be hosting the  9th annual “Paws in the Park” celebration and fundraiser at the NRT of Easton’s Sheep Pasture on Saturday  September 16th at 10am  Make sure your check out the Dog owners survey to earn amazon gift cards 

Paws In The Park is our annual walk and celebration of our furry family members. The event starts with a gentle and pet friendly 1 mile trail walk and continues with a festival atmosphere throughout the day. You and your family will find music, food, raffles, animal themed demonstrations, vendors, activities, and more as you enjoy the day. Best of all, proceeds go to benefit the Animal Protection Center and all of the cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchillas, birds and more that we care for on their way to a happy forever home.

10am: Gates open. Walk registration begins. Vendors open.

10:00am: Agility Demonstrations Begin!

Come to watch agility demonstrations by current and former students to see how much fun you can have with your dog in the Agility for Fun Program. You will be given the opportunity to work with the agility trainers to have your dog experience 3 agility obstacles if you would like to give it a try with close supervision.

11am: Walk begins!

11:30: Celebration begins!

Noon: Dog Olympics begin!

1pm: Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit demonstration

That’s right, we said Dog Olympics! All dogs and their handlers are welcome to compete in these most glorious games free of charge!

The great games will start at noon with a Parade to the competition stage and there will begin an epic contest of strength, smarts, and style!!

First the Loudest Bark and Best Tail Wagger contests will determine who are the loudest and proudest among the doggie competitors.

Next a test of love and smarts as we determine which of our four legged Olympians gives the Best Kiss and does the Best Trick!

Finally our canine competitors will show off their most fashionable selves in our Costume Contest!

An awards ceremony will be full of proud puppies and parents and the winner of each competition receives a $10 gift card courtesy of Especially For Pets!
