Paws Project will be hosting an amazing meet and greet for National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on Sunday April 30th at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell 11-2pm.
Twelve year old Molly Wogan has been spending the last four months tirelessly volunteering for 14 animal shelters and rescue organizations in New England and Georgia. It is her way of giving back for all the joy she has received from her two rescue dogs Riley and Gracie. She started a project called P.A.W.S. Project – which stands for Precious Animals, Wonderful Shelters. The goal for P.A.W.S. is to help 14 shelters by raising money, volunteering, and collecting items for donations to give to the shelters for a full year. Her goal is to raise $10,000 and help at least 180 dogs. In the first 4 months she has raised over $6500 and worked over 150 hours. And in April for her vacation she is spending the week in Georgia to help several organizations that helped one of her two rescue dogs travel north. She just received a grant for $1500 to rescue dogs from high kill shelters while she is there and bring them north for adoption.
