Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter will be hosting the 14th Annual Harvest Fest on Saturday September 23th 10-3pm

APCSM Paws in the Park 2017 in Easton MA

The Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) ,will be hosting the  9th annual “Paws in the Park” celebration and fundraiser at the NRT of Easton’s Sheep Pasture on Saturday  September 16th at 10am  Make sure your check out the Dog owners survey to earn amazon gift cards 

Paws In The Park is our annual walk and celebration of our furry family members. The event starts with a gentle and pet friendly 1 mile trail walk and continues with a festival atmosphere throughout the day. You and your family will find music, food, raffles, animal themed demonstrations, vendors, activities, and more as you enjoy the day. Best of all, proceeds go to benefit the Animal Protection Center and all of the cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchillas, birds and more that we care for on their way to a happy forever home.

10am: Gates open. Walk registration begins. Vendors open.

10:00am: Agility Demonstrations Begin!

Come to watch agility demonstrations by current and former students to see how much fun you can have with your dog in the Agility for Fun Program. You will be given the opportunity to work with the agility trainers to have your dog experience 3 agility obstacles if you would like to give it a try with close supervision.

11am: Walk begins!

11:30: Celebration begins!

Noon: Dog Olympics begin!

1pm: Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit demonstration

That’s right, we said Dog Olympics! All dogs and their handlers are welcome to compete in these most glorious games free of charge!

The great games will start at noon with a Parade to the competition stage and there will begin an epic contest of strength, smarts, and style!!

First the Loudest Bark and Best Tail Wagger contests will determine who are the loudest and proudest among the doggie competitors.

Next a test of love and smarts as we determine which of our four legged Olympians gives the Best Kiss and does the Best Trick!

Finally our canine competitors will show off their most fashionable selves in our Costume Contest!

An awards ceremony will be full of proud puppies and parents and the winner of each competition receives a $10 gift card courtesy of Especially For Pets!

Woofstock 2017 in Hudson MA

The Buddy Dog Humane Society will be hosting their  big annual fundraiser “Woofstock” Saturday  September 23rd, 11am-3pm at the Hudson Elks Pavilion, 99 Park St., Hudson, MA!

Attendees will get to enjoy a large array of vendor booths including rescue groups, crafts and businesses from all over New England. It also includes big raffles, delicious food, live music, kids entertainment, contests, agility and dog demonstrations! Its a festival fun for the whole family and pet lovers alike!

Founded in 1961, “Buddy Dog,” as it is affectionately known, is a not for profit animal welfare organization dedicated to finding new homes for homeless dogs and cats. The Society is incorporated with one main objective, “giving a new lease on life to impounded dogs and cats.”

Buddy Dog accepts homeless dogs and cats, in good health and of friendly disposition, which could, without our help, be destroyed. These animals find refuge at our shelter and can depend on becoming someone’s forever friend. There is no time limit on their stay.

New England Basset Hound Rescue’s annual fundraising event to raise money to provide care and find homes for basset hounds who have landed in our care.  This will be our 16th annual fundraiser to raise money for the homeless and unwanted basset
hounds of New England. This is our only in-person fundraiser and it allows us to continue our
work helping the bassets year-round. All bassets and basset lovers are welcome to attend – basset
wannabes too!
We’ll have raffles, our well-stocked NEBHR store to raise money for the hounds, with special
appearances by the “Big Basset” who guides our waddle around the pond. PLUS: Contests,
Games, Prizes and More! (Don’t forget to bring your hound’s costume for the costume contest!)
