Survivor Tails Animal Rescue is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that exists to rescue, rehome, and rehabilitate homeless, unwanted, abused, and neglected dogs and cats and place them in loving and responsible forever homes.

We aim to decrease the euthanasia rates of our high-kill shelter partners by promoting adoption and educating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering and microchipping their pets.

Lastly, we strive to maintain a network of dependable foster families, capable veterinarians, and experienced trainers to ensure preparedness of our rescued pets for healthy, fulfilling lives in their adoptive homes.

About Audrey’s Rescue Angels the organizer

We were founded in 2013 to help create a more humane and sustainable world for all animals – including people – through education, advocacy, and promotion of respect and compassion. Audrey’s Rescue Angels believes in people coming together to help build a better pet community by donating their time and raising awareness for animal welfare.

I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. I opened my first business in the summer of 2010 called Audrey’s Pet Supply & Services with the support of my husband, Brad, and my parents Karen & Jens. Audrey’s goal was to cater to pet owners living in and around the heart of Boston with everyday items – food, treats, toys, even walks.

We were located on historic Newbury Street and within only two short years of opening, we were named one of the “Top Ten Businesses in Boston” by Boston Magazine. My time at Audrey’s was cut far too short when a real estate developer purchased the building we were in and increased our rent by an exorbitant amount. We were left with no choice but to close.

Though our customers encouraged us to opened another Audrey’s location, I began to reevaluate what really made me happy. From day one, Audrey’s tried to raise awareness for shelter pets and other animal-related causes that were near and dear to my heart.

For a small business we tried to make as big of an impact in our community as we possibly could with various fundraisers and sponsored charitable events. What I loved most about my store was having this local customer base who shared and promoted this vision of building a better pet community.

During the three years I owned Audrey’s, I learned more than most do in lifetime. With the stores closing I realized I wanted to preserve the relationships I had build. I believe in the power of small business and the idea that we can all make a big difference in our community. As Audrey Hepburn once said, “As we grow older we realize we have two hands, once for helping yourself, the other for helping others.”

I am currently the President of Bang Enterprises, LLC and look forward to growing and developing my own company. My husband, Brad, is my biggest source of strength and stability as he puts up with my crazy dreams and ideas. We have a two-year-old son, Jackson, who has inspired me to do my part to make this world a better place. We live in the Back Bay of Boston along with our boxer Kendall, two cats, Yogi and Tess, and chinchilla, Bella.

Wagger’s Wayside Power Play Puppy Hour in Allston MA

Every Saturday at City Tails 2 in Allston, MA from 1pm – 2pm

Is your pup ready for the POWER PLAY PUPPY HOUR (PPPH)?

Puppy playtime is a wonderful way for your pup to learn how to be a social butterfly! At this formative stage of your puppy’s development it is very important that your pup has many positive interactions with other dogs, puppies, and humans. The best way for your lil’ wagger to learn good manners and social behaviors is from other pups.

Plus, it is just ridiculously fun and amusing to watch! PPPH is also a wonderful opportunity to meet other pup parents in the area!

Please call or email with any questions.

*If it’s your first time to PPPH, you will be asked to sign up for the hour with Wagger’s Wayside Dog Training and confirm that your puppy is current on their vaccinations, before you and your pup are allowed in the play area. (This is important for your puppy’s health)

**PPPH is open to puppies starting at 12 weeks old provided all vaccinations are current.

***A Wagger’s Wayside Dog Trainer will always be present in the play area to monitor puppy play and to referee the action.
