Adopting a dog is a great way to add to your family! Paws New England recently shared an update of one the recents adopted.
Here is Roman’s Story
Adorable Roman was adopted by a young lady who saw that he wasn’t being well cared for in his original home. Unfortunately, her landlord would not allow her to keep him, and PAWS stepped in to find him the perfect home.
A 1 year old Pomeranian mix, he is a sweet little guy who loves to be near his human. He does not appear to have had much training, but is already coming when called! He is also well on his way to being house trained. It’s clear he wants to please his people. He will need continuation of his basic training for a least a time in his forever home.
Roman’s ideal home would be one in which he could receive all the love he needs. He does well with other dogs, but could also be an only dog. He loves roaming around in a fenced yard, but also could get his exercise on leash walks
Another person shared thier experience wiht the Pomeranian Mix Breed
My daughter has a little guy with the same breeding, and he’s truly the most incredible intelligent & devoted loving dog. He is their baby’s best friend, and he seems to feel it’s his job to look after the baby. He even tells my daughter whenever there is a bee in their house. He’s really a special dog. I highly recommend this mix.
Luckily Roman was readopted shortly after Paws New England
When Roman’s new dad saw this sweet little guy on our website, he couldn’t get him out of his mind and kept going back to look at him, and you can see the result! It was love at first sight for Roman, too. He finally took a break from kissing them so we could get this picture. He’s now on his way to the good life!
About Paws New England
We save lives, one dog at a time.
We rescue abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters and desperate situations, provide them with veterinary care and much needed TLC, and bring them to New England where we place them in safe, loving homes. We are a volunteer, foster home based rescue. We do not have a shelter location. Our foster homes are located throughout New England. PAWS operates via volunteers throughout New England
Here’s how our adoption process works.
1. Find a dog
Check out our list of currently available dogs. The list is updated regularly, so if you don’t find the perfect match today, check back soon!
2. Submit an Adoption Form
When you find a dog you like, submit an Adoption Form.
Your form gets routed to one of our adoption coordinators, who will contact you to discuss your decision to adopt.
(We are staffed entirely by volunteers, and sometimes it can take us a few days to contact you. Sorry in advance!)
Unfortunately, you may not be the only one interested in adopting a particular dog. If you don’t get your first choice, don’t worry! PAWS has plenty of great dogs in need of loving homes.
3. Bringing your new dog home
After you’ve been accepted, your dog’s foster parent will coordinate with you to get your new pack member home.
