Specialist Brown and SGT Rocky out of Foot Hood Texas just do what they do. They hunt dangerous places for explosives, in order to prevent injuries, pain and suffering and save other soldier’s lives. They found one and it found them. Both were severely wounded and are facing multiple surgeries.
They are just waiting to heal, be reunited and then, get on with the job.
Brown and Rocky, who have been partners for two years, left Fort Hood for Afghanistan October 2015. Two months later, they were searching a compound when they were both injured by shrapnel from an improvised explosive device (IED).
After the explosion, they were flown together to Kandahar, Afghanistan, where Brown and his dog were awarded Purple Hearts
