About PRoNE

Pug Rescue of New England Inc. (PRoNE) is a   registered not-for-profit organization created  for the sole purpose of performing rescue work  for the Pug dog breed. We work under the  sponsorship of the Patriot Pug Dog Club, whose  members support our rescue efforts covering  all of New England. PRoNE has been in existence for 25 years and our volunteers have vast  knowledge about the breed.
Upon the surrender of a Pug to PRoNE,  volunteers ensure that the dog is evaluated  by a veterinarian, brought up-to-date with vaccinations, neutered or spayed if necessary,  and treated for any existing medical conditions,  including things like diabetes, heart disease,  kidney stones and more. The Pug is fostered in a volunteer’s home where it is evaluated to determine what the best type  of home would be for that Pug. House breaking, training and any other necessary behavior
modification is also administered during foster  care with PRoNE
